Tribute to Damini.
There are no short cuts to women's safety. while protests on the streets are important, we cannot ask for hanging on the streets, castration, lowering age and including 15yrs old as criminals, knowing the history of the police and our military forces of human rights abuses these are dangerous trends. WE need a National Authority to Stop Sexual Assault on Women which would look at every aspect from gender sensitisation to education, laws, policing, media, cinema, khap panchayatas, patriarchal mindsets, dowry and domestic violence.
