New Delhi, 14^th Oct 2012:  Mr. Vijay Jolly, Convener Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) hailed the statement by British Foreign Office Minister Mr. Hugo Swire for active engagement with Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. It is indicative of global support for constitutional democracy in Gujarat stated Mr. Jolly.

OFBJP hail the British Prime Minister David Cameron for echoing the strong support of 14,14,100 Non Resident Indians (NRI’s) and People of Indian Origin comprising 2.3% of the total UK population. We also thank Labour MP Mr. Barry Gardiner, Lord Gulam Noon & Lord Bhikhu Parekh, members of House of Lords in UK for their support.

The announcement on behalf of Conservative Party led UK Govt. and Labour Party welcoming it, is a remarkable achievement for Gujarati pride. This bipartisan political and people support across United Kingdom is accepted with all humility by BJP, the principal opposition party in India stated OFBJP Convener Mr. Jolly.    

Good governance and growing Gujarat economy under Narendra Modi BJP rule has won national & international acclaim. The UK Govt. decision to tie with Gujarat shall strengthen democratic forces. It shall promote trade, issues of mutual interest & bilateral relations between India & UK stated OFBJP Leader Mr. Jolly.

British recognition of Gujarat Govt. comes close on the heel of US President Barak Obama earlier appreciating the kind gift of a book titled “Convenient Action : Gujarat Initiatives” written and sent by Mr. Narendra Modi revealed OFBJP Convener Mr. Vijay Jolly. BJP hopes that US Govt. shall soon follow its ally, the UK.
