India’s Export of Consumer Electronics Goods up by 16%

India’s Export of Consumer Electronics Goods has gone up by 16 percent. India’s export was 296 million dollars during the year 2012-13, against 256 million in the year before. West Asia emerged as the 2nd top destination for India’s export of consumer electronics worth 81 million dollars, up by 13 percent.
Regional Director of the Electronics and Software Export Promotion Council , Kamal Vachan told AIR in Dubai that the major Indian consumer electronics export to west Asia include Loud speakers, Electronic Watches or Clocks, CTVs Cameras, Public Address Systems, Video CD’s and Audio Video Players.
India’s premier Trade Promotion Association for Electronics and Computer Software sector is now leading a delegation of 36 Indian Electronics and IT companies at the GITEX 2013 Exhibition which gets underway in Dubai tomorrow.
The India Pavilion at GITEX-2013 will be inaugurated by the Consul General of India in Dubai, Sanjay Verma. The move is aimed at giving a boost to the export potential of Indian companies in the region.
