BABA RAMDEV GIVES TIPS TO NACH BALIYE COUPLES
24102013
Gurmeet and Debina, one of the jodis of Nach Baliye 6 were pleasantly surprised when they bumped into Baba Ramdev! The couple was traveling to Khajurao and Baba Ramdev happened to be on the same flight as them.
He gave some very useful health tips to the couple, which he said will give them an upper hand by improving their performance in the dance reality show.
Some of the tips which Baba Ramdev shared with the jodi were, “The couples should follow three most important things to enhance their performance in the show. Firstly, they should drink hot water in the morning, do kapalbhati and Trikonasana. These are very important for the body and helps in building stamina. With the above three things anyone can face challenges and stay strong in the competition. I would also like to wish all the couples of Nach Baliye-6 luck”.
He was also quick to point out, in his characteristic humour that for the Nach Baliye couples, it is very important to look good on stage as, “ iss profession mein joh achcha dikhta hain vahi bikta hai…aur usiki taareef hoti hai”. Before leaving, he urged the couples to take up Yoga and then wished them all the very best for the show. Gurmeet and Debina who were given this advise invited and requested Baba Ramdev to come on Nach Baliye in one of the episodes and share this knowledge with all the other couples as well. Baba Ramdev promised them that he would definitely try to make it for one of the episodes.
Will Baba Ramdev come on the show on Gurmeet and Debina’s request ? Will the couples take his advise? One will soon be able to find out as the original celebrity dance show Nach Baliye-06 gears up for launch only on STAR Plus!

Hrithik’s flair for writing!
24102013
Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 3 is a much-awaited film but looks like Hrithik is actually working on teaching the kids that education is the key to win over the world.
The recent example of the same is his association with Flair pens, where he as Krrish actually brandishes a pen, handing it over to the kids, encouraging them to pick it up and use the weapon mightier than the sword in the real sense. And from what we hear, there is a lot more to this Hrithik-Flair association.
KJ Rathod, who roped in Hrithik for the ad with flair, feels that there is a perfect brand-fit of Hrithik with Flair pens. “I think every superhero carries a social responsibility on his shoulders, We felt that Hrithik would fit in with the essence of Flair that aims at education being the key to a sound nation. And he was only too happy to join in.” Rathod is looking at few scholarships for deserving children to benefit from this Krishh association as well.
Here is looking at kids doing their homework with flair as their superhero Krrish would like them to go the studious way. With natural flair of course!

White Paper on “Enabling access to long-term finance for healthcare in India” by NATHEALTH in association with PwC released at the launch
Key Highlights
- Leading Healthcare Stakeholders come together to facilitate sector growth and progress
- India battling with the dual burden of communicable & non communicable diseases simultaneously
- Cardiac disease and cancer have emerged as the top two causes of mortality in India
- Access to cancer care is the biggest challenge; about 70% of patients diagnosed with cancer die within the first year
- India requires a capital investment of INR 162,500 Crore (USD 26.2 billion) to fulfil the projected bed requirement of 6,50,000 by 2017
- 70% of India’s Healthcare infrastructure is concentrated in the top 20 cities
- There exists an 18-year difference in the life expectancy noted between Madhya Pradesh (56 years) and Kerala (74 years)
- The government can lead to the creation of healthcare infrastructure through the establishment of a healthcare infrastructure fund (HIF) with an initial corpus of 15,000 crore INR
New Delhi – 23rd Octobers’13
NATHEALTH has been created with the Vision “Be the credible and unified voice in improving access and quality of healthcare”, leading Healthcare Service Providers, Medical Technologies Providers, Diagnostic Service Providers, Health Insurance companies and other stakeholders have come together to launch NATHEALTH (Healthcare Federation in India).
The Federation was formally launched by Dr. Sayeda Hameed, Member, Planning Commission, Government of India, Mr. C.K. Mishra, Additional Secretary – Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, WHO Representative to India, Mr. Chandrajit Banerjee,Director General, CII in the presence of Dr Prathap C Reddy, President, Mr. Shivinder Mohan Singh, Vice President and Mr. Anjan Bose, Secretary General, NATHEALTH.
The launch also witnessed the release of the White Paper on “Enabling access to long-term finance for healthcare in India’ by NATHEALTH in association with PwC.
Spearheading NATHEALTH secretariat, healthcare veteran Mr. Anjan Bose, Secretary General, NATHEALTH expressed that modelled on the lines of NASSCOM, NATHEALTH is intended to play a pivotal role in empowering Indian Healthcare and bring quality healthcare closer to every Indian.
On this occasion Dr Prathap C Reddy, President, NATHEALTH expressed, “Although when healthcare is progressing, there is still a large section in India that doesn’t have access to quality healthcare facilities. NATHEALTH would act as a catalyst to bridge the gap, encourage development and optimize healthcare infrastructure for the progress of Healthcare Sector to the next level”.
Mr. Anjan Bose, Secretary General, NATHEALTH, expressed that Indian Healthcare is uniquely placed at this point of time. The positives and negatives are at constant interplay. At one end, we have developed a highly skilled medical ecosystem, at the other end; we have a massive disease burden and inadequate infrastructure. We need to come together onto a common platform and work together with decision makers to create an enabling environment that will power the next wave of progress in Indian Healthcare.
Dr. Prathap C Reddy added “According to the findings of the white paper, India is battling with the dual burden of communicable & non communicable diseases – rural India accounts for not only 70% of communicable disease cases, but also over half of non communicable disease.”
Mr. Shivinder Mohan Singh further informed that Cardiac disease and cancer are the two major causes of increased rate of mortality in India and access to cancer care is a big challenge with only around 325 comprehensive cancer centres, despite about 1.2 million newly diagnosed cancer patients every year.
Mr. Anjan Bose said, “Despite healthcare being accorded infrastructure status, the benefits of this are yet to accrue to the healthcare providers. To avoid unmet goals at the end of the 12th plan period, India will conservatively need to aim to add atleast 6,50,000 beds to meet the project bed requirement by 2017. To achieve 6,50,000 beds, India will require a capital investment of INR 162,500 crore (USD 26.2 billion), which is more than 50% of India’s annual healthcare expenditure. This will require enabling access to long-term and concessional funding similar to core infrastructure that would require a strong Public Private Partnership”.
Mr. Anjan Bose added that this scale of equity infusion to build healthcare infrastructure will require the government and the private healthcare industry together to put in place six key enablers: 1. Creation of a government corpus for a healthcare infrastructure fund; 2. Allowing business trusts and real estate investment trusts (REITS) in healthcare; 3. Establish a nodal agency for healthcare; 4. Transparent and viable pricing formula for reimbursement; 5. Standardising collateral and exit clauses for PPP projects; 6. Enhancing financial access through Universal Health Coverage.
“Most of the country’s health expenditure is supported by private spending and the constitution of public funds is not adequate. Despite healthcare being accorded infrastructure status, unlike roads and airports, the healthcare sector has lagged significantly in PPP. All of this needs to change” added Dr. Rana Mehta, Leader for Healthcare, PwC India.
Mr. Anjan Bose informed that already NATHEALTH have nearly 50 members. We are expecting more participation in times to come.
Mr. Shivinder Mohan Singh said, “Our Mission is to enable the environment to fund long term growth for Indian healthcare and support best practices and promote accreditation”. We would also like to encourage innovation and help bridge the skill and capacity gap that is a very serious concern.
“Indian Healthcare Fraternity needs to come together today to erase the ignominy of being a disease capital of the world in many areas. I hope that NATHEALTH members will do something that is very much required in the country to bring innovative and affordable Healthcare to the people,” added Dr Prathap C Reddy.

“ Dance It Out! ” says DID 4
Meet the 3 New Judges of Dance India Dance
Mudassar Khan, Shruti Merchant and Feroz Khan
DID 4 starts on October 26. Sat-Sun, 9 PM on ZEE TV
Mudassar Khan, Shruti Merchant and Feroz Khan
DID 4 starts on October 26. Sat-Sun, 9 PM on ZEE TV
New Delhi, 23rd Oct: An entire nation watched with dropped jaws as Prince redefined dance with concepts like ‘locking’ and ‘popping’ in Season 1. An entire nation swooned as Dharmesh emerged from the masses and shot to fame overnight with never-before-seen hip-hop moves in Season 2. An entire nation’s pulse raced as Raghav wove magic with his unique “slo-mo” style in Season 3. Higher and higher benchmarks were set for excellence and innovation in dance with each successive season of India’s biggest dance reality show – Zee TV’s ‘Dance India Dance’ (DID). Not only did it introduce audiences to dance forms they didn’t know existed, ‘Dance India Dance’ celebrated the passion to dance, making dance nothing short of a ‘religion’ across the country!
Naturally, there has been much excitement in the air ever since ‘Dance India Dance’ announced the countrywide auditions for its Season 4 in August this year. Enthusiasts across the length and breadth of the country thronged to the audition venues, drawing up record-breaking registration counts across 19 cities! Even as the frenzy around the auditions peaked, the question on everyone’s lips was - What’s new on DID this time around?
DID Season 4 comes to you with a difference. Each of us goes through a range of emotions in our daily lives. From being happy to dejected, calm to agitated, there’s so much we all feel and go through. There are many issues in life we feel strongly about. The core idea behind DID Season 4 is to look at dance as a means and an outlet to express your innermost feelings. DID, as a platform, has always stood for celebrating dance. This season, DID goes one step further and creates a movement of dance across the country by showing audiences how to channelize their energies positively through dance. DID is sending out a strong message to its viewers – “Dance It Out!”
Bharat Kumar Ranga, Chief Creative and Content Officer (CCCO), ZEEL says, “Dance India Dance is, without a doubt, the biggest brand amongst dance reality shows in the country today. It is the most family-friendly television show of all times. And, after three successful seasons and many allied editions, there’s no arguing that this talent competition has emerged as a cultural phenomenon in India. The record-breaking registrations at the auditions across 19 cities are illustrative of a franchise that is only growing stronger. With its positioning of ‘Dance It Out’ this season, the show will manifest itself across three platforms– On air, on ground and online. We have plans to conduct a parallel ‘Online Dance India Dance’. The most talented amongst those who participate in the online platform will stand a chance to be a part of DID 4 by way of a wild card entry. Creating a dance movement that will span the length and breadth of this country, we will also roll out with a multi-city ground activation where each city will be mobilized to dance for a cause that the citizens feel most strongly about and the city will get its signature dance move symbolic of the cause it espouses!”
While the original judge trio Geeta Kapur, Remo D’souza and Terence Lewis will remain an inseparable part of the DID family, it’s time now to welcome some young blood onto the panel of judges who will lend a new dimension to ‘Dance India Dance’ and drive the masses to ‘Dance it Out’!
A talent discovered by superstar Salman Khan, Mudassar Khan is the man behind some of the most popular moves you’ve seen in chartbusters across films like Bodyguard, Dabangg 2 and Ready. At just 28 years of age, he is the youngest of the 3 new masters and is fondly called the “Master Blaster” for his spirited, sporty attitude. “It’s a huge challenge for me to judge a dance platform of the calibre of DID. I’m all set to give it my best shot!” says Mudassar.
Belonging to a family of choreographers, Shruti Merchant has dance in her blood! She began her career assisting the choreography of films like Dhoom 1, 2 and 3, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Aaja Nach Le, Kal Ho Na Ho and Devdas. For the past five years, she has toured the world with the widely acclaimed musical “The Merchants of Bollywood”. A powerhouse of energy and an utterly vivacious chatter-box, Shruti warms your heart from the word ‘Go!’. She says, “Landing the position of judge on India’s biggest dance reality show is any choreographer’s dream come true. I’m all set to live out this beautiful dream and give it my all!”
The third mentor of DID 4 started his career in 1996 as an assistant to ace choreographer Farah Khan. Ever since, there has been no looking back for Feroz Khan who is credited with smash hits like Maa Da Laadla from Dostana and Move Your Body fromJohnny Gaddaar. With plum projects like Agneepath, Ra.One, Aisha Anjaana Anjaani to his choreography credit, Feroz is certainly making waves in the industry. Being the most experienced judge on the panel, Feroz is a man of few words and shares his pearls of wisdom in his own inimitable style. Speaking of his new role on DID, Feroz says, “With the kind of talent DID attracts, grooming and motivating the contestants, judging the performances week on week and selecting the best amongst them is a huge responsibility. But, I’m all set to take it on!”
Speaking of the new judge trio, Mr. Nitin Keni, Producer, Essel Vision Productions Ltd, ZEE’s in-house production arm which has produced DID Season 4 said, “We are proud of our choices for the fresh panel of mentors on Dance India Dance Season 4. Each of them comes with an impressive body of work in the field of dance. But, above all, it is their passion for dance that has landed them these coveted positions on our panel of judges. At ZEE, we believe in making celebrities out of deserving talent. Geeta, Remo and Terrence were not household names when we signed them on for DID, but look where they are today! It is our mentors’ fervor for dance that will drive millions of enthusiasts across the country to ‘Dance it out’! Each of them has their own unique personality and together, they’re a lethal combination.”
Starting Saturday, 26th October and airing every Sat-Sun at 9 PM on Zee TV, ‘Dance India Dance Season 4’ will follow a format similar to the original season where the 18 contestants are divided into 3 teams led by the masters! Episode after episode, the masters will groom and mentor their respective teams to face the trials of dance ahead of them. The contestants will be judged on their grasp in learning new dance forms, their versatility in lending themselves to diverse styles and the grace and charisma that sets a “dancing star” apart from the dancers. It is a matter of immense pride for the master whose prot駩 walks away with the coveted ‘Sunehri Taqdeer Ki Topi’. Needless to say, there’s a healthy rivalry already brewing between the masters. The show will be hosted by Jay Bhanushali. Grandmaster Mithun Da will continue to grace the platform with his characteristic wit, love and affection and above all his invaluable guidance.
Stay tuned to ‘Dance India Dance Season 4’ every Sat-Sun at 9 PM on Zee TV as the passion, the frenzy, the camaraderie, the rehearsals, the victories, the disappointments, the hosts, the judges and above all, the spectacular dancing talent return with renewed vigor in the latest season of the show!
