International Crude Oil Prices of Indian Basket

International Crude Oil Prices of Indian Basket Declines on 09.07.2012 TO US$ 97.77/BBL, Rises in Re Terms. The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas was slightly lower at US$ 97.77/barrel (bbl) on 09.7.2012.The price was lower than US$ 97.98 /bbl on the previous trading day of 6.7.2012.

In rupee terms, however, the crude oil price increased to Rs 5477.08 per bbl on 09.07.2012 from Rs 5430.05 per bbl on 6.07.2012. This was due to price rupee depreciation with rupee-dollar exchange rate on 09.07.2012 at Rs  56.02/US$ against Rs 55.42/US$ on 6.07.2012.
