SEPANG, 10 JULY 2012 – The leading long-haul, low fare affiliate of the AirAsia Group, AirAsia X is now opening the route for bookings online on airasia.com. The flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu, Nepal will offer guests the opportunity to discover the historical and picturesque Himalayan capital.
The promotional fares from as low as RM 399* from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu, Nepal are  available online from today until sold out, for the travel period from 1st September to 22 May, 2013. For more details, log on to www.airasia.com.
The service which commenced on 3rd July, 2012 from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu was initially launched for sale via selected sales agents in Malaysia and Kathmandu. The airline is opening the route for online bookings in response to encouraging feedback and demand from its guests in its markets.
Azran Osman-Rani, CEO of AirAsia X said, “We see a strong tourism potential for the Kuala Lumpur to Nepal route and vice versa which has lead to our decision to start selling our flights online. This is proven with our 100% load factor during our inaugural flight from Kathmandu to Kuala Lumpur on 3rd July.
“Our flight into Nepal will foster new business travellers between South East Asia and Nepal. We see strong feeder traffic between the two countries and our goal has always been to make international travel affordable for everyone. In the near future, we are also looking at increasing our flight frequencies from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu.
