SHIVRAJ SINGH CHOUHAN INVITES TEAM ANNA MEMBERS TO DISCUSS JAN LOKAYUKTA IMPLEMENTATION IN MP
Days after Team Anna members led by Sharad Singh
Kumre asked Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to
immediately pass the Jan Lokayukta Bill in the state on the lines of the
one enacted in Uttarakhand, the Bharatiya Janata government has invited
the members for a meeting with the CM on Friday.
Kumre along with other member Vipin Kothari had sat
on a 3-day fast to press for Jan Lokayukta in the state. The fast that
began on March 13 was called off yesterday night after an official from
the MP government invited Kumre for talks with Chouhan.
The CM and Team Anna members would deliberate upon the
implementation of Jan Lokayukta which provides for a strong protection
for whistle-blowers.
