The Congress has demanded resignation of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje after former IPL chief Lalit Modi revealed that she had accompanied his ailing wife to Portugal in 2012 and 2013.
Talking to AIR, party spokesperson Shobha Oza said, it is crystal clear that Ms Raje helped the person who is an accused in the cases of economic offences.
The Congress spokesperson also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying his silence on the matter so far showed that there is a mute support by the Prime Minister to these leaders.
Reacting to Lalit Modi’s revelations about Ms Raje, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh said, Vasundhra Raje’s silence on the matter indicates her guilt. In a tweet, Mr Singh said, Ms Raje should come out clean in the matter.
