Moscow's March of Millions to Hold Protest Near Kremlin

The opposition wants its March of Millions protest to proceed from Tverskaya Zastava Square to Borovitskaya Square near the Kremlin on June 12, the leader of the Left Front opposition movement said in his Twitter on Friday.
Sergei Udaltsov said the protest would be organized by the same people as the May 6 protest that ended in violence and clashes with police when the protesters tried to break the police lines and move the event closer to the Kremlin, something that had not been agreed with the city authorities.
“The route is from Tverskaya Zastava to Borovitskaya Square. The march starts at 3:00 p.m. and the meeting at 5:00,” Udaltsov said in his blog.
An experienced protest organizer, Udaltsov was put under administrative arrest on May 9 for 15 days for failing to obey police orders as he took part in an unsanctioned Occupy-style protest against the return of President Vladimir Putin to power.
June 12, the Day of Russia, is a holiday.
