‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap’ visits Delhi

Delhi, July 16, 2013: Abiding by its virtue of delivering unconventional concepts, Sony Entertainment Television launched the historical magnum opus – ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap’. The story is a narration of the 400 year-old story of the revolutionary Rajput warrior ‘MaharanaPratap’ and brings forth the lesser known facts and achievements.

The show is soon going to unfold new twists and turns to enthrall viewers. Post the victory of Rana Uday Singh over Shams Khan, entire Mewar is joyous and celebrating the victory. The queen Maharani Jaivantabai (Rajshree Thakur) welcomes Rana Uday Singh and Pratap with proper rituals. Rajmahal is decorated fabulously and celebration is on its top.

Amidst the pomp and gaiety, Rani Dheer Bai comes and scolds Pratap as she didn’t like Pratap risking his life at such a tender age. This sudden conduct of Rani Dheer Bai shocks everyone. The proud father Rana Uday Singh who honors his courageous son for the spectacular victory over Afghans, ends up making Shakti jealous of Pratap. It is later that all realize that Rani Dheer Bai is missing from the fort and is found in a temple thanking God for saving Pratap’s life. In an attempt to prove her love towards Pratap, She lights the camphor on her palm overwhelming Pratap.

But here’s another twist, once all leave, Rani Dheer Bai unveils her true colours and displays her extreme hatred and contempt towards Maharani Jaivantabai and Pratap. And proves that all she had been doing was just an act of pretense!

The show highlights the relationship between mother-son Rani Jaivanta Bai (played by Rajshree Thakur) and Pratap (played by Faisal Khan) and his love for his mother land and fight for Mewar.  It will also present an important aspect of the legends story – his mother Maharani Jaivantha Bai Songara, a driving force that inspired him and was instrumental in cultivating the spirit of bravery and humanism in him.

While Rani Dheer Bai, considered as the most beautiful and favoured wives of Rana Uday Singh, will look for situations and plot incidents to ensure Pratap’s wellbeing is in danger. To turn her dreams in to reality of being the Mewar Maharani and her unborn son the next successor to the throne, Rani Dheer Bai will do everything possible to create hurdles in Pratap’s life.
