Manufacturing sector is the backbone of any economy as it fuels growth, productivity and employment and strengthens other sectors of the economy. Consequently, Government launched its ambitious programme of “Make in India” on 25th September 2014 which is expected to establish India as a major manufacturing hub and push India on a high and sustainable growth trajectory in the coming times.
Since the announcement of the programme, the government has taken various initiatives to make it a success. Yet it is essential to review the progress made by this initiative to facilitate ease of doing business in the country.
As Make in India is going to complete its one year, it becomes imperative to organize a discussion on the captioned theme with all the stakeholders of this programme to know about its accomplishments as well as issues and challenges faced by the businesses that are yet to be addressed by this meritable initiative.
Consequently, the Economic Affairs Committee of PHD Chamber is organizing a Seminar on “Progress of Make in India: The way forward” on Wednesday, 23rd September 2015 from 4 p.m at Raunaq room, PHD House, New Delhi followed by dinner.
You are requested to be a part of this important seminar and join us as we take a step towards identifying the progress of the programme and suggest a roadmap to the government to address the challenges being faced by the industry which would instill confidence among the investors and business on India’s growth story, going ahead.
Mr. Prabhat Jain, Chairman, Economic Affairs Committee and Mr. Akhil Bansal, Co-Chairman, Economic Affairs Committee solicit your kind presence and active participation at the forum.
We look forward to a line of confirmation from your end by filling up the appended response form.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. S P Sharma
