HP begins its Architecture college roadshow for its Large Format Printing PortfolioShowcase HP DesignJet technology as a versatile and cost-effective choice for students of architecture/engineering
Bangalore, 19th March 2013: Hewlett-Packard India has kicked-off its AEC printing initiative for large format printing solutions from college roadshows, at five Architecture colleges across the country. HP is showcasing its innovative range of large format printers to architecture students right outside their classrooms, a first for the industry.
The exhibit will kick off on 19th March at R.V College, Bangalore. All the students of the college will have the opportunity to see HP’s large format printing solutions, designed specifically to meet the needs of architecture/engineering students and professionals, enabling them to do more in less time through faster setup times, minimised manual operations and increased processing speeds.
HP will exhibit the wide-ranging application possibilities of the HP Designjet T520 and HP Designjet T120 ePrinters directly to the students, by offering live demonstrations.
“We at HP believe that functionality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness are important factors when choosing new hardware and software, especially for the education sector. Exhibiting our solutions directly at architecture colleges is a great way for us to show how HP is dramatically simplifying and making accessible, the large-format printing experience for students,” said Mr Mahesh Soni, Country Manager, Designjet – HP India.
The user-friendly and affordable HP Designjet T520 and HP Designjet T120 ePrinters, enable architecture colleges and students to undertake a broad range of high-quality applications like:
• Line Drawings
• Maps
• Project reports
• Presentations & Chart
• Project posters
• Floor plans & layouts
• Network diagrams
• Algorithms & Flowcharts
• Images
• Renders/3D Graphics
Printing and plotting are the essential lifelines of architects and instead of outsourcing;
· These printers provide them with their own in-house printing solution.
· By adopting in-house printing the architecture students can increase their activities year-on-year by saving lots of money which they would otherwise spend in the market for printing at a higher cost per page[i].
· In addition, by having their own printer/plotter, their work remains private and there is no fear of loss of intellectual property.
Delivering large-format printing through the cloud from virtually anywhere, the new HP Designjet T120 and T520 ePrinter series provide simple and affordable printing solutions. The compact, 24-inch HP Designjet T120 ePrinter series is ideal for students and freelancers, while the 24 and 36-inch HP Designjet T520 ePrinter series is designed for small architecture teams in need of fast, professional printing. With HP’s web-connected ePrinters, users have:
· The ability to email projects to an HP Designjet ePrinter for printing. Users simply attach a PDF or other print-ready file to an email and send it to the ePrinter’s dedicated address.
· Automatic, secure online print history through the new HP Designjet driver. With the online print history, users have access to their latest drawings and the ability to zoom in and reprint an exact copy in just few clicks.
· Convenient file sharing using an automatically generated hyperlink for one-click access to any file in the print history.
