Honda Road-Safety receives Tremendous Response at 34th India International Trade Fair
Successfully trains more than 6000 adults and educates over 2000 kids on safety riding

New Delhi, November 27, 2014: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) the Only Honda in the two wheeler industry has again set a fresh benchmark to educate citizens about the importance of road safety by training more than 6000 individuals at the IITF 2014(India International Trade Fair). Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) in association with Delhi Traffic Police participated in the 34th India International Trade Fair 2014 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi to spread the message of road safety among masses.
As a socially responsible 2Wheeler company, Honda is committed to make Safe Riding an everyday habit of 2Wheeler riders through ‘Lifetime Safety Education’. The Company organized various road safety activities for visitors of all age groups at the pavilion. Honda’s safety instructors successfully trained more than 6000 adults and over 2000 kids successfully at IITF. Adults got a chance to learn about the correct riding posture through demonstration on the Honda display vehicles. At the same time slow riding contests were also conducted at the pavilion.
For young kids under 5-6 years age, Honda took the “fun way” on educating on safety riding through primary activities like role plays, interactive games etc. The Company distributed prizes to children who participated in special painting competition and dart games. Honda imparted training to kids on Honda CRF 50 model, especially imported from Japan to help young minds understand the importance of safety riding. To give a practical road experience to kids under the age group of 9-12 years HMSI specially designed a protected road environment at the pavilion.
Riding trainer (also present at every Honda Exclusive Authorised Dealership across India) helped aid riders above 16 years of age to experience over 100 possible dangers on the road. This virtual experience increases the ability to predict & react to traffic hazards by creating awareness and knowledge about potential risks & solutions.
Globally, road safety promotion has been one of Honda’s top priorities worldwide since 1970. Under the People Come First philosophy, Honda follows Safety as an integral part of all its business activities.
