The Union Finance Minster Shri Arun Jaitley said that many Indian States are growing at the rate of 10-11 per cent and the trade dialogue between the States and the US investors and companies can help in giving boost to the bilateral trade between India and US. He said that the Central Government has created a National Infrastructure Invest Fund (NIIF) in which various U.S. based insurance and pension funds, endowment funds can invest especially in infrastructure sector which has great potential in India. The Finance Minister was speaking when the United States Secretary of Commerce, Ms. Penny Pritzker and Director of the National Economic Council Mr. Jeffrey Zients called on him in his office in North Block today. Both the leaders discussed the issues relating to bilateral trade and measures to increase the trade between the two countries.
Speaking further, the Finance Minister Shri Jaitley said that the Constitution Amendment Bill relating to Goods and Service Tax has been passed by both the Houses of Parliament unanimously in the last Monsoon Session. He said that 8 States have already approved the GST Constitution Amendment Bill and hoped that the remaining States will follow suit and the desired number of State Ratifications can be achieved early next month. He also expressed India’s interest to increase bilateral trade between the two nations and said that most of the concerns between the two countries have been either resolved or narrowed down to a large extent. He said that CEOs of various Indian companies are in constant dialogue with their US counterparts for increased trade and investment among the two nations.
Earlier, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Ms Penny welcomed the approval of GST Bill and hoped that this will boost the economic activities in the country at large. She suggested that the trade dialogue by the State Chief Ministers with different US authorities can be given a structured shape in order to give impetus to the bilateral trade. She expressed hope that there is great potential to increase the bilateral trade among the two nations. She said that US wants to institutionalise the trade relations between the two countries to give it impetus.

New Delhi, August 2016: Mrs. India Beauty Queen (MIBQ) powered by WOWW foundation by Rose Khaira and MIBQ Foundation, directed by Bir Kaur Dhillon is a beauty pageant for married women that celebrate and admire the accomplishments and achievements of a wife, a mother, a complete woman with true beauty and intelligence.
Mrs. Bir Kaur Dhillon, the director Mrs. India Beauty Queen had shortlisted top fourteen potential candidates from all over India and abroad, who further battled for Mrs. India beauty Queen title in a 4-day long pageant where the contestants were judged on various aspects.The grand finale was held on 26th of August at Vivanta by Taj, Dwarka.
The shortlisted contestants were mentored by show director and ace model Nayanika Chatterjee, who groomed the ladies for the 4 days pageant on the following aspects:
• Time Management and self -assessment
• Fitness & Nutrition
• Indian Drapes and Wardrobe Management
• Ramp Walk and Self Presentation
• Hair & Make up
• Photo-shoots
Contestants were evaluated during the course of the pageant through personal interviews and numerous sub contests including rounds like swimwear, talent and fashionista along with concept photo shoots to name a few.
WOWW foundation provided a platform to all the women who wish to prove their worth despite of having numerous other responsibilities.
Adding to the glamour of the show, various known artists like Naina Arora – the official make up artist of the show, VIDM-Institute of Design and Management as fashion institute, Suchismita Sahoo – conceptualised photographer, Pulkit Bandana and Manish Chauhan – makeover artists joined hands to make this edition, yet another success.
The contestants were judged by a panel of judges including renowned fashion designers like Rakesh Thakore and Rohit Karma, Jeevandeep Singh (owner of santabanta.com), Tarun Gill, Bir Kaur Dhillon and Umang Monga (owner of Harrison Locks) who equated beauty with smartness and chose Mrs. India Beauty Queen 2016.
As the event progressed judges announced their decision and crowned Ruth Charlesworth from Mumbai as Mrs India Beauty Queen 2016, followed by Aditi Sharma & Shalini Sood as first and second runner up respectively.
Ruth Charlesworth will now represent India at the world finals of Mrs. India Beauty Queen to be held in Shenzhen, China in November 2016. Aditi Sharma, first runner up will also represent India as Mrs. Indian Ocean Globe for the same pageant. Shalini Sood, Second Runner up will represent India at Mrs. United Nation Pageant followed by Sushma Bharti and Manaeka Will who will represent India at the Mrs. Universe and Mrs Top of the World Pageant.
To add o the existing glory, this year MIBQ introduced their classic titles. Now women over the age group of 45 years can also participate.
Veena Jain was crowned Mrs India Beauty Queen Classic Winner and will represent India at the Mrs. Globe 2017, followed by Gayatri Sandeep from Bngalore- First runner up who will lso represent India internationally.
Dressed in designers, Niket Mishra and Nidhika Shekhar, official designers of the pageant all contestants were unique and confident in their own ways.
Elvis, creative director – was delighted to see his vision become reality. He was very impressed with the contestants who came from all walks of life to celebrate the beauty of a completely woman.

For three Monsoon seasons Gadkari and Uma Bharti neglected Flood Protection works – focus was mainly on Cleaning Ganga at Varanasi.
Rs.7,000 cr including Rs.4,200 cr funded by World Bank for Inland Waterways -1 and Rs.20,000 Cr for cleaning Ganga were approved and flood control, Dam Storages were neglected by this Government.
There is much less than normal rains in UP and Bihar in 11-24 August Period.
Bihar received 91.2mm rains against 139.6mm normal;
East UP 151.7mm rains against 140mm normal and
West UP received 104.8mm against 132.1mm normal;
Uttarkhand received 145.2mm rains against 198.2mm normal.

Bansagar Dam absorbed 1.02 BCM water [4.853 – 3.833] has 5.166 BCM live storage.
Rihand Dam absorbed 2.836 BCM water [4.335 – 1.499] has 5.649 BCM live storage.

About 70 BCM water has flowed in to sea in just 14 days – there was not enough storage to absorb floods [3.838 BCM].
