Delhi Govt. Levy on
Health Clubs & Gyms - Anti Youth: BJP
New Delhi, 6th June 2012:  Delhi BJP Spokesman Mr. Vijay Jolly today stated that the proposal of Delhi Govt. to levy luxury tax on health clubs, gyms and spas is ill conceived and anti youth. It shall discourage the use of health promotion avenues for the youth in the capital.
BJP Leader Mr. Jolly stated that health clubs and gyms are normally used by young boys & girls for physical fitness. We should encourage the youngsters for physical training & exercises. Sound physical fitness shall encourage the younger generation to lead in all fields of social development and social construction of   the Indian society. The Govt. should promote health regime in Delhi by opening free health centers instead of taxing the existing facilities stated BJP Spokesman Mr. Vijay Jolly.
The proposal to levy additional dose of luxury tax on health services by Delhi Govt. in its current budget proposals is against all “health promotion” social campaigns. It is nothing but taxing and imposing increased fiscal burden on the younger generation. It shall directly affect all young students, boys & girls equally in their regular health drills.
BJP Spokesman Mr. Vijay Jolly today demanded that Delhi Govt. should rethink & immediately withdraw Govt. levy on Health Clubs & Gyms.
