Uttar
Pradesh, the Congress reiterated that it will not go for any post-poll
alliance with any political party in the state whether the party wins or
loses. Addressing election rallies at Varanasi and
Siddharth Nagar districts Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that his
party could not take or give support from those political parties who
had looted the state for the past 22 years.
He alleged that non congress political parties in the state have distributed the public fund among themselves and such political parties still had the audacity to seek votes in the assembly polls.Meanwhile, a total of 88 nominations have been filed for phase six elections. 39 candidates including 5 from BSP, 2 from Samajwadi Party and one each from Congress, RLD and BJP filed their papers on Saturday in 68 constituencies spread over 13 districts from Saharanpur, Meerut, Aligarh and Agra divisions.
For phase four elections, more than 47 nomination papers have been withdrawn in 56 assembly constituencies spread over 11 districts. Final numbers of candidates for this phase have not been declared.
