On Sunday evening Pakistan won the toss and elected field with fine bowling in five over it looked the Openers Dhawan and Rohit were not getting the touch either of their own class or with bats at those overs. Those watching the match felt as the players are on look for stay at wicket but in next five overs Rohit opened up and showed batting all around thus Dhwan too played some better but limted strokes thus India reached respectable foundation 136 for no loss. Rohit Sharma the top scorer with 91 and Shikhar Dhawan made 68 runs.
India thrashed Pakistan by 124 runs under Duckworth Lewis method in Champions Trophy cricket match at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Put in to bat, defending champions India notched up a competitive 319 runs for three after two rain interruptions reduced the match to 48 overs.
Set a revised target of 324 in 48 overs at the start of their innings, Pakistan were required to chase 289 in 41 overs when play resumed after the day’s third rain interruption. While chasing the revised target of 289 runs in 41 overs, Pakistan bundled out at 164 runs in 33.4 overs.
For India, Umesh Yadav took three wickets while Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja had two wickets apiece. Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh stood out in an all-round batting effort, propelling India to 319 for three after rain halted proceedings twice in the marquee clash.
Rohit Sharma was the top scorer with 91, while skipper Virat Kholi remained unbeaten on 81. Shikhar Dhawan made 68, while Yuvraj Singh contributed 53. Yuvraj Singh named Player of the Match. Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to field.

Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has expressed his disappointment over poor cricket shown by team Pakistan against India in its Champions Trophy opener on Sunday.
Speaking to Geo.tv, Ganguly said that Pakistan was in desperate need of restructuring its domestic cricket, adding that Indian Premier League was not the factor which put Indian cricket ahead of Pakistan.
“Pakistan needs to restructure its domestic system; you have to improve your First Class cricket. You have to play regular cricket,” he said.
“I can’t accept that a country, which has got immense talent, cannot fix its First Class cricket.”
The former Indian skipper said senior Pakistani players should be consulted in view of improving cricket in Pakistan
“Something needs to be done for Pakistan cricket. Wasim, Waqar, Javed Miandad, Saleem Malik…(senior Pakistani cricketers) need to be consulted because a good Pakistani side is important for world cricket. With time their performances are going down,” he lamented.

How law perceives the world is often grounded in systems of values and beliefs adopted by the legal practitioners: their interpretive frameworks, prejudices and dispositions, which shape the very ‘paradigms’ upon which they choose to see the ‘facts’ and frame their methods of inquiries. In other words, ‘truth’ in the eyes of the law is but ex post facto (re)construction of ‘reality’ achieved through narratorial articulation of relevant events and chosen facts. Taking off from here, this talk sets out to understand: how do we unpack the social ‘constructivism’ of the apriori assumptions that cloak the idea of the ‘vagabond’ in the legal imagination? How does law ‘frame’ the vagabond as a sub-set within the ‘human’? What conflates this idea with the notion of the ‘abject’? Why at all is vagrancy perceived as punishable in the eyes of the law? Invoking a few case studies, both from India and beyond, this paper points to the arbitrariness in the juridico-political imagination and the ambiguity in the legal articulation of the ‘vagabond’.
Dr Avishek Ray teaches at the National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam after having earned his PhD (2014) in Cultural Studies from Trent University, Canada. He has also completed a PhD Coursework (2009-10) in Cultural Studies from the Centre for the Study of Culture & Society (CSCS), Bangalore.
He has worked on what may loosely be called archaeology of vagabondage: the political and philosophical implications of the social construct ‘vagabond’ and cultural representations thereof in the context of South Asia. He has edited a Bangla anthology on Religion & Popular Culture, and published in reputed journals like Inter-Asia Cultural Studies (Routledge), Canadian Journal of Comparative Literature, Journal of Human Values (SAGE) among others. He has held research fellowships at IIM Calcutta, University of Edinburgh (UK), Purdue University Library (USA) and Pavia University (Italy)

Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad today dismissed as completely wrong the reports of a downturn in the Indian IT sector. The minister said a good number of people will get jobs in the current fiscal.

ISRO TO LAUNCH HEAVIEST SATELLITE USING VEHICLE GSLV MARK III D-1
The countdown for the national space agency ISRO’s historic launch of GSLV Mark III D-1 is progressing well at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikotta.
The newly developed indigenous launch vehicle is set to insert the communication satellite GSAT-19 into a geosynchronous transfer orbit after it blasts off from the second launch pad of the spaceport at 5.28 pm today.
This is the first ever developmental flight for the 4-ton class vehicle, powered by the indigenous cryogenic upper stage of 20 tonnes thrust. In this test flight, the ISRO’s most powerful ever rocket is set to carry the satellite of 3136 kg lift off mass into space, the heaviest ever to be launched from Indian soil.
GSLV Mark III has double the capacity of its predecessor GSLV Mark II in terms of its payload carrying capacity. Its first stage is made of two strap on motors filled with solid fuel.
The second and core stage is fueled by liquid propellants. The most crucial cryogenic engine at its upper stage provides a heavy thrust of 20 ton to give the mammoth rocket the edge to take heavier payloads such as 4-ton class communication satellites to geosynchronous transfer orbits.

CBI today searched the residence of NDTV founder Prannoy Roy in New Delhi and three other locations for allegedly causing losses to a private bank.
CBI sources said the agency has registered a case against Roy, his wife Radhika and RRPR Holdings for allegedly causing losses of 48 crore rupees to ICICI Bank.
The agency is conducting searches at four places in the national capital and Dehradun.
The NDTV has termed the move as a witch-hunt based on false accusations.
In a statement, it said the channel will not succumb to these attempts to undermine democracy and free speech in India.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu said law will take its own course in the matter of the CBI raids at NDTV founder Prannoy Roy’s residence.
Talking to media in New Delhi, Mr Naidu said there is no witch hunting at all. He said NDA government does not believe in interfering. He said the CBI must have some information to have taken steps.
