Abe to meet Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in Kuwait

Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has arrived in Kuwait for talks with its leaders.

Abe arrived in the 2nd destination of his four -nation Middle East and African tour from Bahrain on Sunday.

 Bahrain, he met Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. They agreed to open security dialogue between their countries' foreign and defense officials.

Abe also held talks with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He told the King that Japan and the Middle East must become partners toward stability and prosperity, and that Japan wants to deepen ties with Bahrain. The King said Bahrain plans to launch its 1st project in many years to develop oil and gas fields. He called on Japanese companies to join the project.

In Kuwait, Abe is scheduled to meet Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-
